Don’t try to overcomplicate things. Because the simplest strategies will often deliver better results and have the greatest impact.
Here are seven of my favourite simple content strategies that have consistently driven engagement and helped build connections with people.
1. Consistent posting schedule
Consistency is key to keeping your audience engaged. Set a regular posting schedule and stick to it. Whether once a week or once a day, consistency helps build anticipation and keeps your brand top-of-mind.
2. Visual content delight
Visuals are a powerful way to capture attention and convey messages quickly. Incorporate eye-catching images, graphics, and videos into your content to make it more appealing and shareable.
3. Authentic storytelling
Authenticity resonates with audiences. Share genuine stories, experiences, and anecdotes that humanise your brand and connect with your audience on a personal level. People want to engage with real people, not faceless corporations.
4. Audience engagement
Engage with your audience regularly by asking questions, responding to comments, and seeking feedback. Make them feel heard, valued, and part of the conversation. Engagement strengthens relationships and creates loyalty.
5. Repurposing content
Repurposing saves time and maximises your content’s reach and impact. Make the most of your content by repurposing it across different channels and formats. Turn blog posts into social media snippets, infographics, or videos.
6. Analyse and iterate
Track the performance of your content using analytics tools. Pay attention to metrics like engagement, click-through rates, and conversions. Use this data to identify what’s working and what’s not. And then adjust accordingly.
7. Evergreen content
Create evergreen content that remains relevant and valuable to your audience over time. How-to guides, tutorials, and educational content are timeless resources that continue to attract traffic and engagement long after they’re published.
